Create a 30-55 sec video of yourself performing the piece of your choice from d’ILLUSION: The Houdini Musical

 

HOW IT WORKS: 

​

1. download the backing tracks, the learning tracks and sheet music from our Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cslu94tusk3qcxw/AABC-lc4UB2kxagofzI9QQcDa?dl=0
    

2. upload your video to YouTube as UNLISTED and email ONLY the link to:
   contest.houdini@gmail.com
    

3. Follow us on all social media so you stay up to date.
   Facebook and Instagram: @houdinimusicalonbroadway
   TikTok: @houdinionbroadway
    

4. We’ll announce our top 10 Finalists spot. Contestants that enter will be evaluated on vocals, appearance, and creativity. At that point in the competition your video will be posted via our WEBSITE. Your friends, family, and colleagues should then vote (like/comment/share) your video. The person with the most likes/comments/shares will be crowned the winner!
    

5. The winner will be announced on the first week of March.

REQUIREMENTS:

• IN ORDER TO BE QUALIFIED you must follow d'ILLUSION: The Houdini Musical on ALL social media platforms.
  Facebook and Instagram: @houdinimusicalonbroadway
  TikTok: @houdinionbroadway
   

• We encourage you to listen to The FULL SHOW; good for research on the characters

• Post the video to your social media platforms and tag us, as well as the artist that originated the song. You can find our cast list on our website: https://www.houdinionbroadway.com/cast

 

• Think outside the BOX! Get creative! (I.e. Costumes, period makeup/hair, fully develop your character, create a dance to go along with your video). You are only limited by your own imagination. The more creative you are, more people will watch your performance to make you the ultimate winner.
   

• NO AGE RESTRICTION! Anyone can apply who’s interested. 

 

• Cover versions are welcomed! Feel free to take it away and make your own version. 

 

TIMELINE:

March 1st, 2021 (extended ): Submission deadline to enter the contest and to be qualified to win the $1,000 Grand Prize.

 

March 1st: We’ll make an announcements of our top 10 Finalists.

 

March 7th: We close the contest. 

 

March 9th: We announce the winner.
